Not goodbye, but see you soon!

I have a busy life. I have one autistic son, and the other on the verge of a possible autism diagnosis. Life is crazy, busy, exciting and fun! On top of being a busy parent, I have always been a writer. In fact, I have a degree in journalism. I love writing about several different things, which is evident by the amount of blogs I have had. Aside from this fun blog, I had six other blogs!
With life being as busy as it is, I really needed to streamline my stuff into one place. Instead of having six  good blogs, why not have one FANTASTIC one? So that's what I did!
You can find all of my paper crafts and so much more over at my new blog, with it's totally appropriate name. :) You can check it out here.
See you soon!

Back to School

**If you are looking for my Doodle Pantry post, scroll down! I have two posts today!**

Hard to believe it is back to school already! My kids are back to school tomorrow, and they are looking forward to it! Mom might be just a little bit, too! For all of the challenges my children face, I am feeling llike this will be a wonderful year with an awesome support team. Yay!

Speaking of back to school, today there is a new challenge on the C.C. Designs challenge blog, of which I am a new design team member. I used this adorable little digi called Book Abigail which I thought was perfect for back to school. One of my favourite parts of going back to school was always the books! I still love books.

I made that crochet bow to go along with this card, but I think the next time I make one it will be made with a smaller hook - it takes up a huge amount of space. Oh well! I still kind of like it!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Have a great first day of September!

New From Doodle Pantry!

Happy September! Hard to believe it is here already! The summer has flown right by. How quickly it has disappeared. And with September comes the return of routine and schedules. Today there are new releases at Doodle Pantry, and this one goes very well with school.

Everyone needs some school spirit, right?

I went with the coloured images for this card and then took the colours as inspiration. I believe these were the colours of my high school, but I have no idea - it has been too long to remember. I did make that flower myself out of Sculpey, though, which is kind of fun. The colours worked really well for this card.

This set is very versatile for any kind of cheering on. It's called Cheer Spirit and it is available for purchase now. It is also available for free to anyone who participates in the Doodle Pantry challenge between now and the 24th. Got to love that!

Happy Camper

I can not believe it is already the last week of summer vacation! The summer has just flown by so quickly, it is hard to believe. I feel like I was just sitting here typing out how much I was looking forward to a break from school for my kids. And now they're getting ready to go back!

They have had a fantastic summer, though. Camping, swimming, visiting with family, late nights, soccer practices, reading clubs - it's been very full!

Today I am sharing a little card I made using the Happy Trails Camper set. This was such an easy card to whip up. It really sums up the fun of summer, don't you think? Before we know it will be fall, then Christmas and....ugh....snow!

Don't want to think about that just yet. And thankfully I don't have to since it's 32 degrees C out there today. Yowzas! Time to hit the pool!

Big Heart

Recently a friend of mine dropped off a large bag of Tonka trucks for my boys to play with outside. These aren't your regular plastic kind that you would find in the stores these days, either. They used to be her son's toys and they are the GOOD kind. The metal kind. Let me just say, my kids were thrilled!

Mom was pretty thrilled too. They can play outside for hours with those wonderful trucks. I knew the perfect set to use to make her a nice card to say thanks. Toy Truck Ants from Doodle Pantry is the best, don't you think? I thought it was perfect for this!

Off to go play outside with the kids! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Flying By

Summer is just flying by, isn't it? Before too long the kids will be back in school. I need to start getting things ready for their return to school - I haven't purchased any of the zillion supplies they need for school to start back up (and they didn't even hardly use them all last year, either - good thing I saved them!) I am sure I will get to it some time.

I thought this new set from Doodle Pantry was really fun and wanted to make a card with it. I am not the greatest at making masculine cards, but I love how the colours pop on this one at least!

Flying Hi is free with purchase until the 24th, so go and shop so you can snag this gem!

Lifesaver

Do  you like boating? I haven't been on a boat in a very long time. I do enjoy it, but usually don't get to go out very much. They don't make life jackets for fatties like me! Ah well. Instead I can make cute cards about little people who like boating.

I went with the nautical colours for this one. It was kind of fun! Loved using the little crochet flowers my sister made for me. This image is from Whimsie Doodles. They're pretty cute, don't you think?

Figured I would enter this into a few challenges. Check out Crafts Galore Encore, and the Crafty Bloggers Network

Have a great day!
