Signs of spring are finally starting to show. We have buds on the trees. Thank goodness! It inspired me to make this card using the Hug a Tree set from Daydream Designs.

It is a very simple card from a set that is fairly simple as well but it can be used for so many different things. I love it! I am sure I will use it again and again.

I am not going to complain about the rain. It snowed for so long, that I just am so happy to see a change. Rain on, anytime! I don't even mind it in the summer time. There's just something nice about rain. I had to use this adorable set from Deedee's Digis. It's been a favourite for me for a long time.

Rain or Shine is an adorable set featuring one of Deedee's famous bears. I think this card is a bit too cheery for the rain, but WHY NOT after all that snow! It makes me happy.

Furry Friends

Hello! Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Creative Knockouts challenge today. The theme is furry friends. Doodle Pantry has a TON of images that will fit into that challenge, so I had a hard time deciding what to use!

In the end, I made this card with the super adorable Panda Plush. It's super cute, don't you think? I really love this image, it is so cute. I know just who I am going to send this card too! Someone needs a pick me up!

Christ Is Risen

Easter is just around the corner. At our house, we don't really do the Easter bunny. We still do fun things and celebrate with chocolate. However, we just can't ignore that Easter is about Christ. It's about his death on the cross. Jesus died on the cross for my sins. His death was a sacrifice for me so that all of my sins could be forgiven and I could have eternal life in Him. It might sound too religious for some, but really, it's a wonderful gift at a second chance at life. I've made lots of stupid mistakes over the years, several wrong decisions that leave me feeling depressed and unworthy. But Jesus loves me so much, He reminds me that His death means I can be forgiven and have life in Him. He wants that for you, too!

I love making Christ themed Easter cards at this time of year. Today's card is made using the Christ is Risen set by Daydream Designs. It just really says it all. If you want to talk to me about my blog post today, feel free to e-mail me. I'd love to hear from you!

Hello, Sweetie!

Are you having a sweet day? I sure am after making this card with Sweet Treats from Deedee's Digis. Isn't it a darling little digi set? So much fun! It's so simple and sweet.

I kept it fairly simple this time, but I think simplicity is nice sometimes, don't  you?

Love for Lauryn

Isn't this little girl just precious? Let me introduce you....
Lauryn was diagnosed with Leukemia on March 27, 2014. She is currently hospitalized in the DC area undergoing chemotherapy to fight this terrible disease.  Lauryn is Linda Payne's granddaughter...many of you in the stamping community probably already know sweet Linda!

As news of Lauryn's illness spread via social media, many of you have asked if there is anything you can do to help, so we have come up with a plan. We decided to have a Card Drive and would like to invite YOU to help by sending "happy mail" to Lauryn and her family.

Please create cards to share your love and encouragement for Lauryn and her family. Lauryn's parents are Josh and Elizabeth and she has two older siblings: Lily and Logan. We thank the Lord for this dear family and need to pray for them as they are seeking to glorify the Lord throughout this trial.

Cards can be mailed to:

Children's National
Hematology/Oncology RM 437
Lauryn Newsome
111 Michigan Ave NW
Washington DC 20010

You can find updates on Lauryn via a Facebook page that has been set up by some family. It is Fight on Little Lauryn. They have shared how encouraging it is receive a simple "like" on a Facebook status or words of love and encouragement that is posted.

Here is the card that I have made for little Lauryn. I imagine going through this is quite difficult and she feels weary and her body defeated from time to time so I am sending her a little hug with this card.

Here is the fabulous group of bloggers who have joined us in promoting this Card Drive. We would love for you to hop with us as numerous bloggers have blog candy and all you need to do is leave a comment...

I seriously love this little guy. He is so cute! It makes a wonderful little thank you card for a teacher, or someone special in a little boy's life. With my oldest having autism, we have a lot of support and special people who care about him. I think I need to make a ton of these!

I made this using the You Are My World digi set from Imagine That! How sweet is it? I really think this guy is adorable. Seriously! So cute. Hope you've played along in the challenge on the blog this month. If not, get on it. You won't be disappointed with next month's stamp of the month!
