Burn for You

Is it hot enough for you? Not too long ago we had a heat pump installed. It is AMAZING! It was 32 C outside the house, and 38C inside. AAAH! Way too hot...I even passed out from the heat one night. I was soooo happy to be cooler! It is wonderful. I was totally ON FIRE before that!

Speaking of which, this card is made with the Heart on Fire set from Doodle Pantry. It is typically used around Valentine's Day but hey, it's hot and I was inspired!

Hope you are enjoying this summer heat!

Have a great day!

Celebrate!

Just a fun post today with this super colourful card. I loved the Clown Birdie from Doodle Pantry and had never made a card with it yet. But, I am not 100% in love with it. It is missing something! I added some red chipboard and I liked that, but it's still missing....something!

So...do you think it needs something else? What would you add?

Hello

Here's a fun card to share with you today! This is one of Jellypark's Post Pals stamps. Claire has teamed up with the wonderful people at Post Pals to do a little something special for those kids. Anyone who is willing to make a card will recieve this adorable digi for free - then you choose a pal, make a card and send it to them! Post your card here in the Jellypark Post Pals Club group on Facebook notifying Claire who you will be sending it to, and she will pass on the next free digi! Easy, peasy!

This card is on it's way to Charlie H. It is such a fun and rewarding way to earn free stamps, isn't it? I encourage you to check it out! It will just warm your heart from the inside out thinking of these sweet kids and their siblings who need a little extra love.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Have a great day!

Christmas in July and A Bittersweet Goodbye

Happy Friday! Hope you are enjoying your summer so far! Today is a Jellypark day and we are having some fun with a Christmas in July theme! It is always nice to get started on your Christmas cards early, especially if you have several to make!

I used the angel girl nativity stamp on my card. She's super cute, don't you think? I really like the colours on this - they just seem to pop!

Now we do have some sad news today to accompany this challenge. This will be the last challenge at Jellypark. We've been going for several years now, but it is time for a change. The shop will remain open for the time being, but the challenges will be ending and the design team going separate ways. I know we will all keep up with each other in blog land, though! Thanks for the fun times!

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday

It's always great to have some Birthday cards on hand! Actually, I am getting rid of a lot of the ones I have right now because I am going to send them off to the children who are affiliated with Stella's Voice. This is a home for poverty-ridden girls in Moldova after they are aged out of the state-run orphanages at the age of 16. Were it not for Stella's Voice, many of these girls would end up in the sex trafficking trade in order to recieve shelter and food that they would need to survive. The ministry alos has the only Christian orphanage in the country, as well as a separate home for boys.

I first learned of this from my good friend Karen, who creates beautiful jewlery. She has a special line of jewlery called the Grateful Heart Collection, where 100% of the proceeds go to Stella's Voice. Karen recently told me that she learned the children there usually do not have good memories of their birthdays. She decided to make cards to send to them for their birthday and I decided to make some as well.

The first card I am sending along is this one, made with the ever so cute Cupcake Ants from Doodle Pantry. They just make me smile and I know they will make some other little boy or girl smile on their birthday! If you would like to participate in sending birthday cards to Moldova, please leave a comment with your e-mail so I can get in touch with you!

Have a wonderful day!

By the Seaside

Happy Friday! Hope you have lots of exciting plans for this coming weekend. I love the weekend in the summer time - and summer is here! Today is the last day of school for my kids and we are all SO excited that summer has arrived. We have lots of plans - bring it on!

Today is a new challenge over at the Jellypark Friends challenge blog. Our theme this week is by the seaside. There are tons of stamps in the Jellypark store that would be appropriate for this, but I chose these two.

This image is called Rock Pool Boy and it is near and dear to my heart because I tell my boys these stories with two little boys as the characters. So much fun - so anything with crabs on it we love. When Claire drew up this image I was so over the moon excited. I use it quite often. It's adorable.

I love, love, love this adorable Mermaid stamp. It's so incredibly cute. I just had to colour it up and use it on a card. The tail had to be sparkly. It just HAD to be so I broke out the Stickles which I haven't used for a long time. I love this one, it's so fun!

This has really put me in the mood to take the kids to the beach. If the weather is good, maybe tomorrow will be the day. If not, we have lots of time to plan it now that summer is here!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. Happy summer vacation!

Thank You School

Happy Wednesday! Here is another fun teacher card that I made using the School Birdie set from Doodle Pantry. I plan to give this one to my youngest son's teacher. I thought the birdie was soooo cute!

This was so easy to put together and nice and cheery, which was what I was going for. Only two days left in the school year! Woo hoo!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
